Headlining in January, will be hotly tipped TRIBES, whose simple, clean songwriting filtered through warm, fuzzy disjointedness has seen them described by the NME as “the uncharted middle-ground that separates Pavement and The Courteeners.” The band have amassed a cult following and their kick-ass live shows saw them personally asked to support heroes, The Pixies at their show at London’s Troxy. Their twisted gorgeous pop songs look set to take Lo-fi all the way to popstardom.
LIFE IN FILM’s brooding pop anthems are redolent of, amongst others, Nick Cave and Kings of Leon. Hailing from London, the band’s sound combines an English punk / new wave sensibility with American cosmic, albeit low-fi, country airs and graces to create a compelling dark pop soundtrack.
