Pop music is all about pop crushes. And The Felt Tips first grabbed my heart back at the first ever indietracks (2007, folks!). Since then the band have found a drummer and written one of the LPs of 2010 - ‘Living and Growing’. This quartet from Glasgow are playing a rare London show! Be sure to see them and prepare to have your own pop crush on The Felt Tips.
The Felt Tips play melodic indiepop songs about your life – like that time you fumbled around with a condom in your darkened bedroom while trying to keep the mood alive – well The Felt Tips were there watching you.
★ Pocketbooks ★
http://www.pocketbooks.org.uk/
London’s premier indiepop band are playing Odd Box for the first time (although they were big favourites at my old Lost Music nights!). The band have been ‘away’ recording their second album. Their first ‘Flight Plaths’ was a highlight of 2009 and was released on the How Does It Feel To Be Loved? label. Pocketbooks deliver shimmering pop music which comes informed by 60s soul and the best that indiepop has to offer.
“Some of the finest songwriters in indiepop today” - SCATTERBRAIN
“Remember those albums you listen to when you’re laid on the floor of your bedroom and you’ve just done something completely life-changing? Or you’re just about to? Well, this is one of those. Listen to Flight Paths, and go out and find the one you love.” - A LAYER OF CHIPS
★ Falling and Laughing ★

Falling and Laughing are two piece indiepop band from Birmingham, UK. They released their beautiful hand crafted ‘Bunny Hood’ EP on Odd Box in 2010 (very few copies left folks!). And I am delighted to finally be able to bring the band down to London to play a pop show for us!
“There is something quintessentially British about the lyrical content on offer here, taking in subjects such as NME writers, bus routes and geeky girls turned supercool, while the tempo changes in all four songs ensure the ears are constantly stimulated.” - THE WESTMORLAND GAZETTESee more
