Student and Alumni Composers Recital
P.D.Q. Bach, Lacy James, James Matheson, Mark Alburger, Leland Paul Kusmer, Gabriel Riccio, Mandelbrot Quartet and Qian Li
Swarthmore College alumni and current student musicians will converge on Lang Concert Hall for an evening of instrumental music and song composed by Swarthmoreans.
The program includes works by alumni P.D.Q. Bach/Peter Schickele , Mark Alburger, Lacy James, Lisa Wildman, David Barnes, James Matheson, Roxanna Glass, Martin Carillo, and Qian Li, and by current students Dan Kurtz, Soren Larson, Gabriel Riccio, Benjamin Starr, and Benjamin Kapilow.
Performers include alumni Mark Alburger, Lacy James, Lisa Wildman, David Barnes, Clifton Kussmaul, Deborah How, Emily Aubrey, Rachel Kolb Moore, Michelle Running, and Andrew Hauze, and by current students Leland Kusmer, Ben Rachenbach, Genevieve McGahey, Gabriel Riccio, Dylan Hillerbrand, and the Swarthmore Mandelbrot String Quartet (Sophia Uddin, Amy Langdon, Leland Paul Kusmer, Benjamin Rothfuss-Dair).
The recital is free and open to the public.
