De Clash of the Titans is de grootste en leukste bandwedstrijd van Utrecht en omstreken. Ooit ontstaan als competitie binnen oefencomplex dB’s en na tien jaar uitgegroeid tot een evenement met vijftig bands, verspreid over tien voorronden, halve finales en een finale.
Sinds een paar jaar vindt deze strijd der titanen ook buiten dB’s plaats: in ACU, EKKO en dit jaar voor het eerst ook in Azotod, De Meern. De finale in EKKO vindt plaats op zaterdag 27 maart 2010. Vorig jaar ging Kleinindustrie er met de buit vandoor. Andere winnaars van de Clash zijn o.a. Marock n’ Roll, Sheriff of Hong Kong, StropStrikkers, We vs. Death, Kismet en The Walt.
Het prijzenpakket van de Clash of the Titans bestaat o.a. uit voorprogramma’s voor shows in dB’s en EKKO, doorstroming naar de GULP (Bandwedstrijd voor de Provincie Utrecht), gratis repetities bij dB’s Oefenstudio’s, gratis opnemen in Studio Moskou, optredens op Bevrijdingsfestival, Geinbeat en Dwergpop e.a. plus consult en Coaching via de Popconsulent.
