Wed 16 Feb – Rob Zombie, Skindred, RevokerWe headed in at about 7:15pm but I had to drop off stuff at the cloakroom first. Cecile and her friend got a space on the barrier at the right hand side - a bit close to the speaker bank for me, so Kit and I went a bit more central, about 4 rows back for the support bands and about 8 rows back for Rob Zombie - just outside the 'danger zone'.
Revoker 7:25-7:45
4 piece (drums, guitar, bass, guitar + male vocals)
Essentially a straight forward metal band, leaning just a bit towards death metal. The sound started off very poor, but improved quickly, and then they were decent. The vocals were audible, but the songs were a bit bland. Not a band I will seek out or look up, but as a live first support band they did the job fine.
Skindred 8:05-8:45
5 piece (drums, guitar, bass, electonica, male (Reggae) vocals)
What a really odd choice for Rob Zombie's main support band. Now I know some people who really like them…
