Yeah, I was torn on my feelings about the noise as well. I actually traveled back to Detroit from Denver for this. I honestly couldn't have thought of a better venue than the city for this show. I lived in the city proper for about 5 years and grew up in the burbs. I have nothing but love for Detroit. The video imagery of the industrial zone at night looked a lot like Del Ray/Zug Island. The anti-war movement montage was powerful too. As for the people talking, I think the Detroit music scene is a tough one. The crowd included. Think of the bands that really succeeded out of that city. MC5, White Stripes, Iggy Pop/Stooges, etc. These were all loud, "we don't give a fuck", bands that could handle the grit. Not all shows are like that though. I've been to more than a few super respectful shows in the city too. Thanks for posting the set-list. Anyone see any tapers there? I keep checking Archive.org for a posting, but still nothing.

No, there were definitely a lot of people talking during the quiet parts, but I guess that's to be expected when you get so many people together for something so quiet. It bothered me a few times, but there weren't many breaks to get a few words in either.

Was it just me or was the crowd ridiculously loud during the quiet parts of the songs?

I got one of the setlists from the stage and they have it written this way: Gorecki Storm Metheny 12-08 Police Albanian B.B.F. III

I recorded the entire set sans a part of Providence with my camera. I cannot attest to the audio quality quite yet. The venue was too dark to make out anything, so I left the lens cap on after Hope Drone and instead focused on the experience. Will post as a last resort if nothing surfaces on Archive.org. So fucking sublime!
