I don't get the complaints of heat. I found the place no more hotter than the other venues I've been to. However they ruined it for Nadja.

wasn't impressed by xoyo either... the gig was unbelievably good tho! pretty gutted about nadja too, haven't heard him/them before but outside of the sound dropouts and the early end of the set they were great. merzbow & balázs pándi were fucking amazing! merzbow + live drums is the shiznit. had high expectations for this gig after hearing 'kikuri' and akita + p ándi definitely more than lived up to them. some photos at http://www.flickr.com/photos/chopped_pork/sets/72157625256447436/

I was gutted about Nadja's set! They sounded amazing before the sound started cutting out. Also, can I just say that XOYO is probably the worst venue in London - rude staff, terrible layout (the stage is on the short side, there's tons of dead space at the side, the bar is 25 feet from the stage, the stairs are next to the stage), terrible acoustics, no ventilation, long queues.

ANYONE know what the track that was played after the Arthur Brown track, and before "Cop" by Swans?? the lyrics sounded like "kick him... shake him..."?!??
