Pisco Presents...A Date With Fate
Pisco Sour Hour, The Unfortunate Incident and Electric Tape Recorder
Hello. Another couple of months have passed. We must therefore reconcile ourselves to the fact that the time is nigh for another Pisco Presents. Gird your loins. Entertainments. Distractions. Cardboard. Flashing lights. Most of all, music. Last time there was a Sugar Rush, and the combined forces of Repomen, Dr Robeatnik and Cats:For:Peru absolutely smashed it.
The programme of events this time is entitled ‘A Date With Fate’ and will feature some superb bands, and distractions based on the twin themes of superstition and fate.
Suspending their belief in the rational will be…
Pisco Sour Hour
Back from paternity leave, Andy and Pete Pisco return to complete the quadrumvirate that is Pisco Sour Hour. Expect misdirection, table rapping and much convulsing. Will be breaking mirrors while standing under ladders.

The Unfortunate Incident
Sheffield’s own rock/country/punk/folk Frankenstein’s monster join the fray to show just why they are gaining a reputation for being a hot live act with a penchant for banging out intelligent, hooky tunes. Intend on opening umbrellas indoors with no fear of the dreadful consequences.

Electric Tape Recorder
‘The Legend’ Everett True put it better than I can when he ventured forth the opinion that “they are genius: humorous, full of broken metaphors and salvaged instruments, mangled hearts and dead pixels. The blues, as practiced by the children of Bukowski, Captain Beefheart and Jeffrey Lewis. Whoa! We don’t wan’t to imagine that parentage again!”. Walking on all the cracks with no thought of the repercussions.
