Last.fm is back to present again at the Big Chill House, with yet again another stupendous line up. Two of the best (not to be taken lightly) bands around at the moment will be playing live and will be surrounded by an array of DJ talent.
First up we have Max McElligott, born and bred in Scotland, he moved to London to study at LSE and his passion for music blossomed. Luckily for us music fans, he dropped out of college and became Wolf Gang. Recently back from the USA where he recorded his next single with producer Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips, MGMT, Modest Mouse, Mercury Rev and Mogwai), Last.fm have picked him up for one of his few London dates.
Wolf Gang’s songs are like instant modern classics, with a toweringly bright and brilliant combination of archly knowing lyrics and soaring space age pop production values. His musical palette is a scattering trail of sonic references ranging through Supertramp, Roxy Music, David Byrne and many more, all melded within a framework tinted by his classical knowledge.

Another artist with Wolf in his name, just spelt slightly differently is Othello Woolf. , Sounding unique but with very similar influences and comparisons to Wolf Gang, Mr Othello, just like some sort of genius plan, is playing this Last.fm presents as well! Described, as the next big thing by XFM’s Eddy Temple Morris, his debut single ‘Stand’ was an audacious amalgam of funk, new wave, R&B and synth-pop. He is swiftly becoming the name on everybody’s lips.

Schlachthofbronx are NOT a single person/producer from Berlin, but a bunch of three guys (live at least a two tag team) based in Munich, Bavaria. The home of Schlachthofbronx is the heart of the city, between the goods yard, the slaughterhouse (hence the name Schlachthofbronx). Here originates Munich Bass, a dirty hybrid of African Kuduro, South American Cumbia, Carribean Soca /Dancehall, Brazilian Baile Funk, Cape Verdian Funana, American Bootybass, UK Dubstep - and Bavarian Schranz!
The three Germans shamelessly mix African, Latin & Carribean Beats with every single form of Bass music and hybridise even that weird stuff again with Balkan Brass and cross-grained traditional Bavarian "Volksmusik"

DJing we have Filthy Few, famed for their own nights and extremely celebrated podcasts. FF have played every festival from Glastonbury to Rockness, Bestival to Secret Garden Party, Snobombing to Rockness, and warmed up for Erol Alkan, Filthy Dukes, MYLO, Fake Blood, LCD Soundsystem as well nights such as Kill Em All (London), Bugged Out (Iceland) and Ibiza Rocks (Ibiza). Need we say more?
We also have a massive coup in the form of incredibly busy Primary 1. Put simply, here is an artist making some of the most arresting and innovative pop music around. Primary 1 aka Joe Flory has collaborated with Erol Alkan and Riton and just come off of tour with Ellie Goulding. Last.fm welcome him down to the Big Chill House to DJ some of his favourite tracks at the moment.
