Dan Snaith, poznatiji kao “Caribou” ili “Manitoba” je elektronski muzičar iz Kanade. Dan je prvo nastupao pod imenom “Manitoba”, ali je 2004. morao da promeni ime pod pretnjom tužbe od strane Richard “Handsom Dick” Manitobe, što je bilo ime pod kojim je nastupao frontmen benda “The Dictators”. Dan je tada prokomentarisao da je to isto kao kada bi The Smiths tužili nekog John-a Smith-a.

Dan Snaith obično uživo nastupa uz ceo bend, a trenutni članovi njegovog benda su Ryan Smith, Brad Weber i John Schmersal. Njihov set obično obuhvata i posebne video projekcije. Album iz 2007. godine, “Andorra”, je postigao veliku popularnost i jako dobre kritike muzičke javnosti. Novi album za koji se kaže da će predstavljati posebno muzičko iznenađenje biće objavljen za etiketu “City Slang”, samo mesec dana pre njihovog nastupa u Beogradu.

Dan Snaith, better known as Caribou or Manitoba is a Canadian electronic musician. At firs he performed under the name Manitoba, but in 2004 had to change it, under the lawsuit threat by Richard “Hands Dick” Manitoba, which was the name that he used while performing as a frontman of the band “The Dictators”. Dan commented that this is the same as if The Smiths would have sued certain John’s Smith.

Dan Snaith usually performs live with his whole band, where current members of the band are Ryan Smith, Brad Weber and John Schmersal. Their set usually includes a special video projections. Album from 2007, “Andorra”, has achieved great popularity and a very good critique of the music audience. The new album, for which is said that it will be a very special music surprise, will be published for the label “City slang”, just a month before their performance in Belgrade.
