I finally made it to Kentish town with aaronandhobbes. Whilst we hung around waiting for another friend, we noticed just how broad the range of people that were there was, which only emphasised just how much this band has been missed by people that have been listening to them for 17 years or 17 days.
Once our friend arrived (which took what seemed like forever for us as we especially wanted to see who the Special Guests were going to be) we quickly went inside to try and catch most of the Special Guests' set. We came in to find 3 dudes on stage playing a very low-key acoustic set. Assuming it was a pre-support act we went straight to the bar where I asked the barman who was currently on stage only to be informed that it was Biffy Clyro. I'm not Biffy's biggest fan, especially of their more recent material and couldn't help but feel I had been somehow let down by the fact that the surprise…
