Electro-punk-pop duo 2 Hot 2 Sweat are proud to announce a new animal themed club night Pet Sounds, a happy amalgam of our twin obsessions of kick-ass music and little furry critters.
A showcase for bands/artists/animals that we are passionate about, we intend to bring a shedload of talent to the stage of The Social, and transform the venue for one night into a den of frolicking woodland creatures, frozen tundra dwellers, and tree habiting primates. (nb, there are unlikely to be any actual animals in the venue, health & safety and all that).

PINEY GIR
The sometime electronic exotica lover and genuine all-American country girl returns to the musical fray with her most accomplished album to date… The Yearling.
An ambitious and darling blend of inspired songwriting and deft way with genre, Piney Gir combines delicate heartbreak folk with straight to the bop pop, all of it dipped in the gal’s never less than pin-sharp eye for a great story about the wanderings of the heart.
Piney Gir has been a star of the bill at Glastonbury, Big Chill, Bestival, Truck and too many more festivals to mention, a dash of cheering gingham and frothy petticoats amid the UK summer field days.

If you cross a suit, with off-shore pirate pop radio, performance art and what the Flight Of The Conchords would be if they took their tongue out of their cheek, that’s what Tim Ten Yen whirls up into one rare and unique treat: a singing salaryman at your front door and not selling anything but charm.
And the fruits of his industrious labour and whimsical brainwaves have moulded together for a musical trip down a yellow brick road of tins for drums and straw for guitar strings.
Soft almost futuristic twinklings lay on top of Latino laden riffs with racing piano keys which run you away down picturesque sand dunes, whilst singing along to contagious rhymes and float away choruses.
Tim Ten Yen is a pop star for all, and along with his animatronic cat which sits on top of his trusty tiny keyboard, his masterful live shows have wooed and baffled the crowds of the London Underground to Leeds festival to Iceland and beyond.

2 Hot 2 Sweat are Matt Leuw and Mia Lane. They play wonky keyboards and punky guitars, with choreographed dance routines, shouting and general silliness. They don’t like to be pigeonholed but feel the genre that best describes them is ‘Pop Gone Wrong’.
In 2009 they had a bumper year – recording a session for Radio One’s Huw Stephens and popping their festival cherry at Latitude. They’ve appeared at the BBC Electric Proms, released three pop-tastic singles and been championed by Radio One, BBC6Music and Artrocker magazine.
This month the ‘Sweat are celebrating the launch of their debut mini-album rarararararaRA! through NROne Records.
