Pere Ubu will bring both ends of their career together in one special show at The Garage in London on February 25, performing in its entirety their first album The Modern Dance and their latest “Long Live Pere Ubu!” over the course of two sets. The Modern Dance was released in February 1978 and stunned the pop and punk worlds with its vision and audacity. It quickly became a fixture in Great Albums Of All Time lists. “Long Live Pere Ubu!”, released by Cooking Vinyl in September 2009, has proved to be just as audacious and equally revolutionary in its scope and vision.

    Thankfully they are not doing the long theatrical version of LLPU after the debacle at ICA. Modern Dance should be a treat they still cut it live musically.

    The London Garage show is a new program, "Pere Ubu: The First & The Last" - it consists of one set of The Modern Dance in its entirety and a concert set of just the songs from "Long Live Pere Ubu!" The other UK shows are to be "Long Live Pere Ubu!" - The Spectacle.
