As the winter snow has melted and Spring is just around the corner, we are delighted to welcome three of the buzziest buzz bands in Britain to The Stock Room for Invisible Guitar Solo #2!


Internet Forever are Craig Heartbeeps, Christopher Alcxxk and Laura Wolf, three Web 2.0 obsessives who bonded over a shared love of The Unicorns, Why? and the DrownedinSound message board. They recently supported Los Campesinos! and Copy Haho at the headline gig of the Sŵn festival in Cardiff, as well as touring the UK with Johnny Foreigner.

Their recently-released debut single ‘Cover the Walls’ is a delicious slice of fuzzy lo-fi indiepop which earned ‘Single of the Week’ merits from both NME Radio and Artrocker Magazine and a 9/10 review from This is Fake DIY.

Internet Forever are pretty much our favourite band in the world right now and we’re probably more excited about this gig than anything ever.

Standard Fare are based in Sheffield and are comprised of Andy, Emma and Danny. After releasing the well-received single ‘Dancing’ last Spring, they have just released new single ‘Fifteen’ (which delighted us when we heard it on Huw Stephens’s Radio 1 show on a cold Wednesday in Rotherham) which is taken from the debut album ‘The Noyelle Beat’, which is due out in March 2010.

This Many Boyfriends are from Leeds and are single-handedly making indiepop credible again. They write shambling songs about how radio is the devil and what to do if your romantic interest doesn’t share your love of The Pastels. TMB are good friends of ours and we always look forward to seeing their riotous live shows.

Runaround Kids are a Wakefield band formed in late 2007 comprising George, Jack and Blake. They think a lot about the state of their now faceless city of Wakefield, social anxiety, being hopeful in states of hopelessness, and freaky shit that they read in books. 2009 saw their first professional release, a mark up in the standard of venues they are playing, their first proper headlining gig, and the first in what promises to be a series of independent releases.
