Cold In Berlin

Previously known as Death Cigarettes. Musically, they inhabit that driving New York No Wave inspired sound – thrashing guitars, pounding drums and rumbling bass coupled with urgently delivered vocals. An obvious comparison is with early Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and there is certainly more than a touch of Karen O in enigmatic lead singer Maya.

Rumours we may dress up like Jedward so far unconfirmed - as soon as we can get in touch with ourselves we’ll let you know. What is for sure is we are making a piñata of Louis Walsh for some good ol’ fashioned East London stick hitting.


!ForwardSlashMusic! are an East London based Music Promoter. At !ForwardSlashMusic! we aim to build relationships with bands/artists, we tailor all of our events to ensure bands/artists get the best experience and exposure when performing with us. Musically we will ensure you are on a bill with similar bands, we invite local press to review all !ForwardSlashMusic! gigs, and we have many good industry contacts that attend our events. We help artists maximise their exposure to a new audience by having features with publications like Time Out, Toursanddates.co.uk, NME, all local and London Papers and some national press. We also have street teams who flyer the local area on days leading up to and on the night of the event as well.

We have 12 London venues at the moment and we run 3 showcase events at Proud Galleries (Camden) 333 Mother (Old Street) and 93 Feet East (Brick Lane). Showcase events are the pinnacle of what we do and are reserved for bands established with !ForwardSlashMusic!. (See myspace blog for info on all venues)
