Porcupine Tree create breathtaking music.

Ranging from psychedelic trip-hop to progressive metal, combining intense musicianship, unconventional composition and sonic innovation; they are unquestionably one of the worlds most inspired and inventive rock groups.

Their brand new album, The Incident, explores unique soundscapes, with delicate acoustic picking that transcends to lightening fast riffing with a measured attack of electronic percussion. “If Porcupine Tree do not gain massive acclaim with this album then the music world needs to be examined very quickly and very thoroughly. “ – Alternative Sounds

Porcupine Tree fans can attest that nothing compares to the epic live atmosphere the band creates. February will see the band return to Australia displaying their progressive, thoughtful and brilliantly executed music.

“Porcupine Tree are one of the most devastatingly poignant progressive rock bands around today” – Kerrang!

It means everyone was there paying more attention to what was happening onstage rather then getting in the best shot. It was good. I still wanted at least a couple of pictures though, just for remembrance sake.

"It was also strange watching a band and not having iphones and camera's and flashing screens obscuring your view" 2nded. I can't remember the last time I went to a gig without seeing a sea of camera/phones, but it was very refreshing!

some guy near me pulled out his camera phone, a guy next to him said "mate put that away" and he was like "fuck off" ... tsk tsk :p

I got one and was told to stop doing that at the start before I knew... I wanted pictures but I respected their wishes. A friend of mine took close to 180 pictures. Not good.

I had my camera at the ready, but respected the bands wishes. And it was good to see that everyone else did too. It was also strange watching a band and not having iphones and camera's and flashing screens obscuring your view. But was actually pretty cool. Bummer though, because there would have been some AWESOME photos to be had..
