    Yeahhh, I absolutely agree about wanting to hear more 'Embryonic'!!...I recall only hearing"Silver Trembling Hands", "See the Leaves", and "Convinced of the Hex". (am I missing any?) ...I think it would've been AMAZING if the Lips would just have played that album in whole as their new set for this tour for a change, but that would require an extreme amount of work and preparation I'm sure...

    The Lips were GREAT, and yes, the crowd was semi-meh. But, I suspect there were a lot of Pete Yorn and Phoenix fans there who probably weren't very familiar with what to expect at a Lips show. It is a bit overwhelming for the uninitiated. I was hoping to hear more from Embryonic but understand the time issue. As ever, highest marks to the Lips. Always, always, always a treat and a ton of fun. Pete Yorn was really, really great, too. He totally won me over and now I'm looking forward to seeing him live again. (poor Phoenix, valiant effort, though, and huge props for their professionalism)

    SO! --Pete Yorn was surprisingly impressive and the Lips were obviously just as mind-blowing as expected... --I gotta say that the one thing I was kinda disappointed about their set was just the overall LACK of people groovin' to jams...!! ;) --Thank goddd that there was at least ALL-around my (non-dancing?) -nice- spot (mid/front-ish. -center)-) there was plenty of greatly appreciated jazzzz-cigs bein' passed freely... BUT- Oh, HOW goddamn awful about those fellas in Phoenix!! -one of my long-time favorites-, and their mightily-underwhelming/short (but kinda admirably so!) "set", amiright!? ---Either way: ...a totally great, fucking FUN Winter night.
