Hey all, thought some of you might be interested that Wooden Shjips frontman Erik ‘Ripley’ Johnson's project Moon Duo are heading to Corsica Studios in London on 17th May 2011, just before they release their new album Mazes. We expect this one to sell out so don't hang around to long. Full Details here: www.myspace.com/togetherwecanwalkonwater

I was a little disappointed by no Range Life but I think the heavy version of The Hexx and Elevate Me Later made up for it!

Also meant to say no Major Leagues was the only disappointment from the Pavement setlist for me, but then it looks like they haven't been playing it on the tour anyway...

Wooden Shjips sound fine on their records but both times I've seen them live they've been very very disappointing. Their sound loses it's clarity just gets mushed up. Unless that's what they want to sound like?! Pavement were fantastic though. As someone else said, I would have liked to have heard Box Elder, but you can't win them all! Still a great set.

The sound was fine from where I was standing. Wooden Shjips were incredible and a lack of chord changes is the whole point of what they do. It wasn't maybe the right venue for them but I get the impression you wouldn't have liked them anywhere. Pavement were great. Shame we didn't get Box Elder, Range Life or Here but we got a lot of goodness so no real complaints from me. If I lived in London I would have went to every night.
