Sol_Fish-i I liked Aesop's drumming, but...I have interesting taste in drummers. Anyways, I was there with Wyvyrn down there. I think I spent 70 bucks on merch - Velnias CD, Velnias shirt, Agalloch eyes-in-forest shirt, and Ashes Against the Grain, which is currently sitting in my room with the band's signatures on it :3 The vocals and guitars definitely needed to be mixed higher, but it was goddamn nice to be inundated with JWW's excellent bass playing. They should mix his bass higher on the albums tbh; it added a really amazing dimension to the music.

@gothate I'm glad I wasn't the only one who though the vocals weren't loud enough. I was standing right in front of Haughm, so it wasn't that big of a deal, but I can't imagine what it must have been like for people in the back.

gothate Velnias is surprisingly good. Chicago based bands I've never heard of keep coming out of nowhere and being awesome. Agalloch was good but they definitely didn't have the guitar and vocals loud enough. Also, I never realized how fucking terrible the drummer is. He's like a gorilla playing Rock Band Drum Trainer. It's bad. Subarachnoid definitely knows how to mix their shit, not that the music does a lot for me. Also, I have a large version of the black Agalloch shirt with the eyes in the forest, if anyone got stuck with a medium and needs a large I would love to trade.

had2reload Velnias was good, Indian annoyed the shit out of me. I liked Subarachnoid Space but the chick guitarist was distracting since I kept trying to figure out what she was doing to her pedals that took half the song. AGALLOCH was an amazing, ethereal experience though. Mosh pit was funny :D I talked to everyone afterward and got my shit signed. So happy to finally see 'em in Chicago. eeee still pumped

NamelessDrone All I could hear during Agalloch was drums and bass. Indian was very good though.
