JACK GIBBONS PLAYS J.S.BACH

Jack Gibbons performs an evening of music by one of the greatest of all composers, Johann Sebastian Bach. The programme includes readings of contemporary anecdotes and letters, a demonstration of a fugue, and a variety of music drawn from throughout Bach’s life including Preludes and Fugues, Partita no.1, Chaconne (arr. Busoni) and the dazzling Goldberg Variations (with which Gibbons made his acclaimed Queen Elizabeth Hall London debut in 1984).
