  • Radio Amor > Harmony in Ultraviolet > Ravedeath > Mirages > Haunt Me > everything else. IMO
  • new album is fireee
  • Interesting author & interesting music which accidentally appear in my 8tracks player..... :) I'm glad for this new discovery.
  • The album is focused from start to finish, it doesn't lack direction at any point. I doubt he will continue with this direction forwards, but Lopatin didn't have a negative influence on his work.
  • NGC_1277, I'm not hating - Tim Hecker for life. Anyhow, the new release appears as a serious downgrade in his discography and that's butthurt :v It is almost impossible to break away this album from his previous efforts, even though it would be relatively more objective to rate it as a separate thing. It's just Hecker who set the bar so high that I was expecting a real deal instead of post-lopatin randomcore.
  • laptops = more advanced than 303s and Akai samplers so must be shit. Laptops are for Microsoft office and email.
  • For those of you heckling Mr. Hecker about being merely a laptop performer, let it be known that Timothy does indeed play the tangible instrument.
  • I love 2 throw up on the shout box
  • Why all the mixed feelings and hate? If you just look at the new album as a NEW album and not comparing it with his older releases it's actually super interesting clever stuff. If you didn't know who the artist was on the album I'm sure it'd get so much more love
  • have no idea how this extremely boring bullshit could scored 12 mios.
  • "The Oneohtrix influences are obvious, but they aren't shoved down like they were in Instrumental Tourist. It is a stark contrast to his two previous releases. It is more ambient and less drone. The album art matches the sound, and that speaks for itself. I still have mixed feelings about the vocals, but they add variety to the sound. All in all, a nice album. Different, but on pair with his entire discography." - Relax, this is just noise from laptop
  • It has nothing to do with the name. The album is nice overall, but certainly not his best work. It kinda lacks his usual charm and sound which is replaced by something else he borrowed from other artists.
  • "If this album sounds like Lopatin... it is for sure best Hecker LP" Yeah, sure. I have a feeling that if not T.H. name tag on it people wouldn't be so "woohoo" about it
  • I hear a lot more of An Imaginary Country lp than anything from Lopatin on this one tbh.
  • If this album sounds like Lopatin... it is for sure best Hecker LP so stop complaining and listen... (btw that Wonderglue below me got the point he is never been and industrial music composer)
  • what the hell this? another hack with a laptop who makes "music" NO THANKS
  • The Oneohtrix influences are obvious, but they aren't shoved down like they were in Instrumental Tourist. It is a stark contrast to his two previous releases. It is more ambient and less drone. • You people are scaring the shit out of me right now.
  • This guy never disappoints me
  • It's nice, but too much Oneohtrixing.
  • New album is fucking magnificent [3]
  • New album is fucking magnificent [2]
  • Thing is... plunderphonics is really spoiling some great artists. It happened with Lopatin, it happened with James Ferraro, and now with Hecker. Nothing is sacred anymore. Fuck that vaporwave shit.
  • wheres the dropp?....
  • Speaking from "die hard Hecker fan" standpoint I must admit that I'm not entirely content with the direction he's setting towards with this new release. What I mean is not that "Love streams" is a complete disaster. The idea of incorporating human vocals feels quite refreshing. One can sense that he tried to push the line even further and do not replicate his previous efforts. However, "Love streams" lacks this very special kind of Hecker's refinement that makes his music somewhat more than just an ambient. This album seems way too half-baked. It just lacks an essence.
  • ^ never lol
  • LS is much better then Virgins. Great album.
  • it's a pleasant album, saw him play a few of these pieces last summer eher in seattle, & i thought they were much better, then again it was fucking loud & crushing, so maybe this is just going to be one of those albums that needs to be heard live to be fully appreciated.
  • Ehh, I enjoyed Virgins much more. :(
  • Haven't listened to it enough to have a solid opinion, but the vocal arrangements are definitely a highlight. Wonderful stuff.
  • i'm digging the record more and more, but i still have this g.o.d. taste about it :C
  • <3
  • New album is fucking magnificent
  • Solid, no Virgins or Ravedeath. Perhaps I'm just not into the direction, though. Also, sorry to dude for such an early leak. Must be crushing.
  • I think it's a good album.- Certainly the Lopatin influence is showing and not in a good way though.
  • It does have an Instrumental Tourist feel but I loved that record. So far I am totally loving Love Streams
  • Need to give it more listens, but on first impressions I am liking the new album.
  • Well I think it's a beautiful album and a nice change of tone from his previous ones
  • "It sounds like the album he made with Daniel Lopatin." 100% this, and that album sucked. Love Streams might be his weakest record since Mirages IMHO
  • not my cup of timmy.
  • TIMMY!
  • It sounds like the album he made with Daniel Lopatin.
  • yeah,i like him, love his music, but there is one but.i cant get that major inspiration from any of his album in particular.i cant choose which of his work is finest for me,i cant.new album is good,i like it,but i cant go farther than this.thats all
  • Really really cool album, I wish it was a tad more dronier but nevertheless it's great. You can't do wrong, Tim.
  • My Love has been leaked.
  • my love is streaming
  • INCREDIBLE
  • He never disappoints. <3
  • <3
  • v Yeah of course. In fact that's what I always do, download an album and when I can I'll buy the vinyl. But I've never actually waited to listen to an album for the first time on wax, so that might make it extra special. But I'm so incredibly curious to listen to it, especially after hearing about the inspiration/ideas behind it
