If you like rock music at all, this has to be in your collection. Absolutely one of the all time greats. No one has ever come close to the pure unhinged rock bliss that these guys tapped into for this album. The debut is great, but it can't touch Fun House. Where the band felt a little bit mannered at times on that record, here they sound like drunken, drugged up madmen who've just escaped the asylum, stolen some instruments and set about making the loudest, wildest, craziest rock album in history. I love every track on here and to my ears it's sequenced perfectly. "L.A. Blues" is like the hangover/meltdown after the drink- and drug-binge of the other songs.
"...and that color saturated, phantasmagoric album cover perfectly captures what you'll be hearing inside." Very true, and I can't believe that it isn't tagged as Grunge already. I mean, that's what Grunge is and means. It sounds like Mudhoney.
