something to cry for and something to hunt
This is such a brilliantly-crafted song; it's sublime. My favorite on the album. Such a great song, it has a melancholy feel to it.
Surely somewhere within one of their best songs in quite a bloody impressive catalogue. "They all run together and never make sense but that's how we like it, that's what we want." <3
ahahah I love that line too. lovely

I really like the permanent piece of my medium-sized american heart line. such a nice cadence. this song still not one of my favourites though
live version ahh
the actual astronauts bit is really annoying but the rest of the song is so good. goddamn it i suffer through each twee reiteration in order to get that sweet 'take all your reasons' bit
quickly becoming one of my favourite national songs
"you know you have a permanent piece of my medium-sized american heart... ...you can break what you have but the rest of it's mine" ...god damn.
This is such a brilliantly-crafted song; it's sublime. My favorite on the album.

such a good song. initially it didn't click with me, but i just realized recently how great the lyrics are. You know you have a permanent piece of my medium sized american heart
isn't it a little too late for this?

a favorite, and yes, i can't get rid of it.
They don't seem to play this Live much - they should, it's great! :-)
Check out the Black Sessions version of this song. The intensity just builds and builds during the performance.
I totally agree with previous post, this gets better with ever listen, just like the rest of the album.
This song is so great
