I only just realised this has the exact same intro as The Dandy Warhols' Be-In. Can't believe I'd never processed that thought before. Mindblown. Just did some research on the origins of the intro and found this quote from Anton: "I was in the studio, in Portland working on our record "Give It Back!". As you know, I have pioneered radio dysfunctional audio experiments with our band. Courtney Taylor walked into our studio and I played him the new record. He said, "Wow! what is that fucking sound?" I told him that is was just multiple AM radio tracks with feedback, and showed him how I did it. He went back to his studio, and fucking used the new found info on his record. When I heard his record, I felt used, so I started my album with his record. I knew Capitol would not sue me because it would just promote our band." Validity is questionable as there's no source, but this is an interesting anecdote nonetheless.
