Rich, "Thank You" for your music that continues to glorify the LORD our God and Jesus Christ our LORD> I know you are praising day and night now, have been since you went home. There's a lot of us looking forward to seeing you again.
LOVE GOD AND I believe in God the father and Jesus HIS ONLY son who was crusified and rose from the died and returning soon! so that we live and the Holy Spirit of God that guides us in the WAY THE TURTH AND THE LIFE NO ONE COMES UNTO THE FAHTER EXCEPT THROUGH HIS SON SO BELIEVE NOW AND LET ME KNOW AND BE BAPTISED SOON!
This is one of the greatest songs ever recorded. This one, The Color Green, and Peace are by far my favorite songs on this album. I agree with everyone below that Rich was such a unique voice in Christian music. He brought a totally humble, open minded approach to his song writing. And he loved incorporating classical instruments like strings, and that awesome dulcimer of his (which is something I have a total soft spot for in my musical tastes).
everytime, EVERYTIME I listen to this I get chills. Because of the conviction and truth in the words. It doesnt over-simplify the faith and doesnt compromise it either. It doesn't commercialize it with the "feel-good" poppy fluff of many other christian songs. It makes me feel I can be a better person.
I really did like how in the documentary about him, one person mentions this song, and how, rather than faith as something to stand on and maybe make life feel more certain, he saw it as something operating on him: "I did not make it! No, it is making me!"
Also, I love dulcimers.
