Asphyx - Deathhammer 9,5/10
Deserted Fear - My Empire 9/10
Brilliant death metal! Recommended!
Desaster - The Arts of Destruction 9/10
Superb Thrash/Black Metal.
Alcest - Les Voyages De L'âme 9/10
Great, fragile songs that create a dreamlike atmosphere. Astonishing good music!
Wrathprayer - The Sun of Moloch 9/10
Darkest metal massacre. Sinister to the bone.
Master - The New Elite 9/10
I love this old school death metal. Great songs, definitely a win.
Gothic Knights - Reflections From the Other Side 9/10
Back after 9 years - with the hell of an album. Great!
Demon - Unbroken 8,5/10
Damn, what a killer of an old school heavy metal / hard rock album! Recommended! Maybe this one deserves even more points in the future...
Pharaoh - Bury the Light 8,5/10
Classic power metal with quality.

11 Mar 2012, 22:33 de domunitedIt’s no secret that Poland is a country that has offered some fantastic bands to the world of metal. One of these bands, lesser-known and more underground despite the fact they’ve been around for more than two decades, is Pandemonium, hailing from the city of Łódź. Their fourth album ‘Misanthropy’ will be released next month.

Pandemonium's 2010 demo, the simply titled Promo 2010 managed to capture me with the rawness in the band's music that has managed to bring out the essence and energy of the fusion of black and death metal nicely, and despite it being only a short 2 track release, it left me craving for more. The hunger is finally satisfied this year, with the band releasing their fourth full length album, Misanthropy under Pagan Records.
The album opens with the two tracks that were present on Promo 2010, namely The Black Forest and God Delusion, and immediately the evolution in the band's musical style is noticeable, with both tracks having a markedly increased black metal sound compared to the original songs on the demo, with riffs that sound almost Norwegian black metal-inspired. …

Bands from Poland have never failed to fascinate me, whether they are black metal bands in the form of Infernal War or death metal bands like Behemoth and Vader. Pandemonium, while formed in 1990 (earlier than bands like Behemoth) have failed to gather as much attention their fellow countrymen despite having numerous outputs thus far. Promo 2010 is their 2010 demo, seeing the band unleash 2 new tracks.
Promo 2010 opens with A Black Forest, an introduction that reminds listeners of songs like Behemoth's Ov Fire and the Void, yet right after the introduction all similarities end as Pandemonium seems to focus infuse more elements of black metal than the aforementioned Behemoth, with the trebly riffs. Vocalist Paul's style is a pseudo-howl, sounding almost like a gruffer and lower-pitched version of Hail of Bullets' Martin Van Drunen. …
