One of the greatest thing Ozzy ever did during his solo career was the Status Quo cover of "Pictures Of Matchstick Men" with Type O Negative. Ozzy's 90's material, or after No More Tears more precisely, wasn't really his strongest solo material. However, that cover with Type O Negative is just perfection. TON were on top of their game at the time, and their biggest and most obvious influences were Black Sabbath and Ozzy's personal favorites - The Beatles. Just a perfect combo, and with Ozzy on vox. After hearing that cover for the first time a long time ago, I've always wondered (and wished for) what a collaboration album between them would've turned out like. I imagine it would've been a very great match!
It's all a matter of opinion which album is greatest, mine just happens to beat yours to death in a fist-fight: No More Tears is best because it's the only album I've ever listened to. Send me 2 of your favourite tracks from whichever other album and I'll play them and see how they stand up (or, more likely, go down in flames).
Lol no, two good songs (Tinkertrain, NMT), and the rest sickly ballads and generic boring songs, the start of his decline. If you think No More Tears is better than his first 4-5 solo efforts you're deluded.
