23 Oct 2009, 22:02 de zvirblisHere I am, once again. Today my profile turns 3 years old. It's been a decently big year for listening. I reached the big 50,000 tracks played, which was exciting. I finally got my songs per day average to 50, after it hovering in the 40s for a long time. Of course, then it dropped drastically over the summer when I didn't listen to much of anything. But now I'm going big again. So, let's see where my charts are.

The Beatles 3,441

23 Oct 2008, 21:29 de zvirblisSo, here I am, after 2 years on Last.fm. I'm at a total of 33,935 songs, putting this year's total at a little less than last year's. Whatever. Considering I had issues getting my computer and iPod to work together on last.fm, I'm just glad most of them counted. So, anyway, I think I'll follow the same format as last year, pretty much. I'll list my top 50 as of right now, and maybe comment a bit on any trends I see. So, let's go.

2 Jul 2008, 21:47 de AnaAerophinaYesterday I went to the beach for the first time this year. I almost forgot how much I loved it. Being generally a cave-dweller who shuns the sun and one who can't stand the sight of themselves in shorts, it seems surprising I'd enjoy wearing a swimsuit in a hot, sunny, public place. However, the way the waves and sand and beach feeling all combined is very enjoyable, and if I'm in the water no one can see my legs anyways.
Anyways, I've decided to make a mix of the very best beach/sea/summer songs. This is only a prototype listing and subject to change. Also, suggestions are welcome.
1. Michael Leviton - Summers The Worst
2. They Might Be Giants - Metal Detector
3. The Beach Boys - Sloop John B
4. Islands - Don’t Call Me Whitney, Bobby
5. Michael Leviton - The Beach Gets Cold
6. They Might Be Giants - Idlewild
5. The Beach Boys - Surfin USA
6. Islands - Rough Gem
7. They Might Be Giants - The Cap'm
8. Spiralmouth - Nsanity Island
1 Ene 2008, 3:22 de jadeybeansHere a complete (kind of) list of all the CDs I bought during 2007. This is the year I got really 'into' music. The bulk of these are TMBG, but I tried to leave those all at the bottom. I hope you guys leave messages or comments, this took me a loooong time to collect and put together. Oh, and just for my fun, anything denoted with a '*' means it was a digital download, like from iTunes.
Oh, and sorry they're not in any order, I basically typed them as I was finding them around my room.

How many times have you listened to number one?
Is this your favorite band?
What got you into number one?
-My 9th grade biology b teacher introduced me to Them, i've been a fan ever since.
Why the hell have you listened to that so much?
-Because Their music is my comfort and food for my soul, and I can't feel ok if I don't listen to Their music every day.
Favorite songs of number one:
Something you think you’d thoroughly enjoy doing with the band?
-Marrying John Linnell. Does that count? He's, like, half of the band. And the rest of them would probably be at the wedding.
Favorite memory of the artist?
-Meeting John Linnell. :D
How many times listened to number two?
-198 (haha, pathetic compared to my first).
9 Oct 2007, 2:22 de jadeybeansSadly, I'm the kind of person you enjoys both doing/reading these kind of things. Anyway, here we go.
(incase of ties, I'll just pick the one I want)
1. How did you get into 29? The Aquabats
-My brother got into them about 2 years ago, and I basically copy everything he does.
2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22? Blink 182
I think it was ALL THE SMALL THINGS, it was pretty big when I was in fifth
or sixth grade.
3. What’s your favorite lyric by 33? Steve Burns
-shit... I'm not going to lie, I don't really know any of the words to his songs. I listen to him enough for him to be my number33, but usually it's while I'm busy checking emails and I'm not paying attention to words. I like the song 'Mighty Little Man' though.
(Haha! I'm sure this doesn't count, but I've always beena big fan of the mail song of Blue's Clues :D)
4. What is your favorite album by 49? Meatloaf
-Ha, I grew up listening to Meatloaf with my dad…

If the score is small (extreme = 5) your musical preferences are very limited, and if it is large (larger than 80, extreme = 100), then you have an eclectic musical preference.
