I, too, have been their fan ever since they first started back in 2008. I really like their older songs and can't stop wondering what their music would be like if Eve and Mio never left the band. But I've grown to like their newer songs too, and I've found many awesome songs among them. Bara~rose~ is a good example, it's probably my favorite Lycaon song. I think they've never lost their originality, their style has just evolved into something very different from what it used to be when they first started. Actually Bakane lift up my hopes a bit. Even though the mixing and production sounds most of the time like shit, the songs are quite good. MSC still has some songs I can't stand, but Bakane and doguramagura are both good songs.
@corpsedancer, now you see why Eve and Mio left the band a few years, their sound is nothing like it was before. :/ I've been listening to them almost ever since they formed and it's true what their bio here says, they really had a distinctive sound and are a lot softer these days. Now they just sound like any other band out there, which is kinda sad when you know them and out of the blue it's like they're a totally different band. lol I still listen the new releases, but I never get my hopes up because I know their not going back. lol
