They're listed in alphabetical order by artist/band, there was absolutely no specific formula for this. Some songs are on the list because I feel like it was an important song in history, others simply because I just think it's the greatest song ever made. Some day this list will be perfect in my eyes, and it will be 500 songs, not 300.

29 Oct 2011, 23:01 de missygp29Apropos of nothing - well, not nothing. I'm bored of work and would much rather distract myself by listmaking. So here it goes: Top 10 LCD Soundsystem tracks. Tricky, tricky, tricky. Because some of them I absolutely adore but mostly love live (hello, Yeah); some others don't sound great live (Get Innocuous) but are absolute faves. What to do?

2 Ene 2011, 6:59 de lassaucepanThe title says it. Every day i'm going to pick a song I think represents that day the best and I'll even give a little explanation why.
Reasons I may pick a song:
I listened to it a lot.
I had it in my head.
I was blown away by it.
I discovered it.
I rediscovered it.
I heard it somewhere special.
I listened to the lyrics in a new way.
I learned something about it.
I cried to it.
I saw it performed.
It's a really fucking good song.
Saturday, Jan. 1: Animal Collective - Bluish - Packing all my stuff to leave the place where everyone I love is and used to be, and listening to this song as I do so.
Sunday, Jan. 2: Hockey - Song Away - How ironic would it be if you played this song at 11:59 p.m.? Oh wait...
Monday, Jan. 3: Athlete - Superhuman Touch - Smooth indie rock, put me to sleep while I try to block out all this incessant noise.
Tuesday, Jan. 4: Explosions in the Sky - So Long, Lonesome - I'm going to have to agree with those who say song titles don't matter. …
5 Nov 2010, 2:43 de HeebeejeebiesFri 8 Oct – LCD Soundsystem, Sleigh Bells
Preface: my lack of a computer kept me from posting this for quite a while, but I'd like to do it now, no matter how overdue this is. Moving on...
This concert was simply all sorts of amazing. I got in right after Sleigh Bells had begun their set, and they proceeded to play for about 40 minutes, bringing a lot of energy to tracks from their debut album Treats. I'd be lying if I said I was super familiar with their work, since I had only started listening to them a couple of weeks before the show, but I do recall a handful of the songs played that evening. The sound setup was excellent, filling the room with heavy hitters like Tell 'Em and my personal favourite, Infinity Guitars. The band (fittingly) closed out their set with album closer Treats.
But enough about Sleigh Bells. As fun as they were to see, the real reason I was at this show was to see LCD Soundsystem, and holy shit, did they deliver. …

14 Ago 2010, 14:29 de Samwiiise1) How did you get into 29?
I pretty much grew up listening to The Smiths, my mum's a huge fan. But I didn't properly get into them myself until I found their singles collection when I was about 14.
2) What was the first song you heard by 23?
Ms. Jackson was my first Outkast tune, I think.
3) What's your favourite lyric by 33?
Wow, TV on the Radio are so good at this, it's going to be tough, but... Tonight stands out in particular. Probably... 'Your busted heart will be fine / In its telltale time'
4) What is your favourite album by 49?
Turn Off The Bright Lights by Interpol.
5) How many albums by 13 do you own?
I'm pretty sure I own all of Daft Punk's albums except their first live one.
6) What is your favourite song by 50?
There She Goes by The La's. A bit predictable, I suppose, but there's a reason for that.
7) Is there a song by 39 that makes you feel sad?
All My Friends by LCD Soundsystem can make me feel kinda crappy sometimes.
8) What is your favourite song by 15?

Upon reflection of my second Sasquatch experience, I can now say that this is officially my all-time favorite music festival. Despite facing an astounding amount of cigarette smoke (sadly watching the butts subsequently rival the amount of grass at the stunning Gorge Amphitheatre), crappy food, insane lines, pee-related incidents, and the embarrassment of seeing Canadian flags consistently waved by the craziest and drunkest of my fellow countrymen, the crowd that gathers there is second to none. It is a testament to the quality of their overall character that the vibe for such a huge festival remains so happy, mellow, and stoked on music. Plus, from where I'm sitting, the lineup just seems to get better every year. There really is nothing else quite like this little piece of heaven.
