New album is kinda disappointing. It's not that they sound different, but every song i've heard thus far sounds very similar. Too similar. It's a bit disappointing. Either way, this band is still fantastic and will always be one of my favorite power metal bands.
Well, it was pretty bad comedy when Serenade of Self-Destruction, a tribute to a friend who committed suicide, went out on CDs with no vocals. I assume that was someone else's job, but the fan backlash against the overall production of Requiem for the Indifferent qualifies it to be his Phantom Menace.
v Haven't noticed him losing track of the right amount of comic relief on the recent albums he produced :-D ... Guys, what happened to the Revolution music video? Last year they were teasing it, but now there already seems to be one for My Therapy in the making.
All praise 4 Kamelot being Kamelot goes to....Sascha Paeth! It's almost unbelievable how much difference there is between Siége Perilous & The Fourth Legacy. It's hard to believe that Khan was even singing on Siége, totally bland & forgettable. But when Sascha joined the crew...The Fourth Legacy was born - amazing album in all means.
If you want someone who sounds nearly identical to Khan a lot of the time you could always look up Vasilis Georgiou's groups. His latest release with the band SUNBURST actually came out today and is pretty solid.
I tried Seventh Wonder, it honestly doesnt give me the same feel, and some of the tracks dont really give me the metal vibe, but i am open to song suggestions. As for my vocalist comment still stands, as even though they are separate bands they are still the same vocalists.
v silverthorn was just okay, haven is much better (although still not to Epica/The Black Halo levels). rule of thumb for haven is that the best tracks are the ones featuring guest vocalists (alissa and charlotte).
Well the top albums lists for all artists haven't been updating properly, so you can't go by that, but I have to admit I am having some trouble getting into the last few albums. It sounds like the same albums over and over. Do I just need to give them more time?
TOP albums list - perfectly sums up what Kamelot is (except Gh.Op.)...and what a coincidence R.Khan sings on all of them. Today's Kamelot is a disgrace...ppl really need 2 know when is their time to stop...and move on.
