At least for white bread indie rock I don't think there's been as much of an eclectic sounding album, but maybe I'm forgetting several examples. Maybe their second, though I personally prefer this one.
Yesterday I witnessed You Forgot It In People played live. Hands down one of the best shows of my life. I've been listening to this album for about 10 years now and nothings affected me so completely. I'm not sure anything else will, but I'm still looking.
I know it's a re-issu cover, but look, all You Forgot It In People is built around this cover, the book, the promo, the movie, the singles... The original cover was never intended to be the cover. Maybe not the original, but this is the right cover to use for this album.
BSS tends to be like that. like their self-titled and Forgiveness Rock Record, have fantastic songs on the first half, but towards the end of the albums it gets weaker. They're still amazing though. wonderful to see live, truly great experience.
The album is all sorts of awesome... up until Cause = Time. And the rest feels like filler, despite the great song titles. But yeah, KC, Stars and Crimes are just one punch after the other. The peak of pop perfection being reached in Anthems
