  • R.I.P to all rappers involved who are dead or in life imprisonment. Damn shame, man.
  • The rappers aren't as good as the successful acts (ala Eazy-E, ice Cube, MC Eiht, Chuck D, Havikk the Rhyme Son etc) but there was a truly underground thug underground atmosphere about this group that made them special. When you heard their lyrics, you knew they were serious about this shit, not just the promise of fame and money behind it. That made it so much more real. But to be fair, there were some really good rappers that could have made successful careers of themselves in their own rights. Lil' Stretch, Big Wy, Red Rum 781, AWOL, Bloody Mary, C-Note, B-Brazy and Lil' Hawk (went onto Damu Ridas) and Six Pac were my favourite rappers from the group. A lot of the others were pretty much throwaway (though Red Rum's relative Lil' Leak (C-K) was also fucking awesome). I wish some of these guys released more material under their own names. Some truly great rappers took part in this project (most are dead or in prison by now).
  • shuda beena b-dog!
  • Man, 'Time Is Gone Nigga' on the second album. That third verse. Always gets me going. Big Wy and 'Lil Stretch just have such an intense chemistry there. So in your face. Love it.
