  • So this was the music in Gus van Sant's "Gerry".
  • ...
  • If I do say so, myself.
  • Most singular.
  • Excruciatingly gorgeous.
  • After having heard this several times it is now concluded. This is the most beautiful song I have ever heard and will ever hear.
  • Amazing composition, so melancholic but very soft and calm.
  • One of the purest and most sincere pieces ever written.
  • just the end..
  • Try the very mini but playable tag radio too [tag]Fur alina[/tag].
  • bliss, ex nihilo. as if all Creation had oozed from its echo
  • Julia Rovinsky's harp rendition on her album Dark stunned me for seven minutes straight. I could barely eat. The whole album exudes a heavy, mystical warmth that is highlighted by Für Alina.
  • ♥ ♥ ♥
  • This is amazing. I wish I could explain it deeply but I can't because words can't express how good this song is. Arvo Pärt is a genius composer.
  • ♥♥
  • In the past few years, Pärt seems to have abandoned tintinnabuli in favor of sacred music. And while I do love his liturgic pieces, this release, Tabula Rasa and Miserere are still my favorites.
  • THAT'S MY BOY
  • lo puedo oir mil veces.. una y otra vez... en circulos
  • words cant describe what i felt while listening to this.

  • Says 10:45 ~~~~~~~ UK seems to be only about 3:15 at the moment so does not scrobble for me.
  • After the first couple of notes I just dropped what I was doing... closed my eyes. This piece has so much emotion for such ridiculous simplicity.
  • Oh wow, I didn't even realize I had reached 1,000 plays.
  • ohhhhhh
  • This is something special.
  • the spaces between the notes are just as important as the notes themselves
  • transitional, transporting, telling.......
  • They probably wouldn't applaud just like you wouldn't applaud to Lark's Tongues in Aspic. Instead you would just drift into the next selection which would be played for the purpose of reviving you.
  • I'm in awe.
  • This is the ultimate introspective album! Period!

  • a calm sadness
  • amazing...
  • nothing is wasted
  • "If an audience would listen to this music in a concert, they would hardly know when to applaude" lol
  • It sounds like autumn... one leaf drifts to the ground on a breeze, orange and yellow, red and brown slipping to the street.... it sounds like the peace of letting go.
  • haunting. beautiful.
  • Never heard anything like this before but I'm totally in awe
  • This guy has seen it
  • "silence... note .... silence....................... note.......................... (sound fades)" Silence is a note as well.
  • If an audience would listen to this music in a concert, they would hardly know when to applaude.
  • silence... note .... silence....................... note.......................... (sound fades)
  • Sweet.
  • Arvo Part is my favorite composer. this music is just so.. hauntingly beautiful.
  • I listen to this track when writing, really helps me get in the mood and drift off to my imagination. This track is so beautiful and inspiring. Amazing!
  • and tears come along..
  • A good pair of headphones, full moon and sitting outside listening to this would be perfection
  • A masterpiece, the defining recording. Devastating and sublime.
  • perfect
