I see that most of you are listening to bands like Sleep, Kyuss or Ufomammut but maybe you have some lesser known bands to recommend, if yes, please write about them.

Stonewall Noise Orchestra - Swedish stoner-rock in the vein of Kyuss

New Keepers of the Water Towers - Another great but relatively "unknown" band from Sweden. Influenced by Mastodon but also alot of stoner-rock/metal.

DoomDogs - Another (guess what?) Swedish band. Stoner/doom, like Sabbath and such.

  • I don't know how the group connections are set... i mean the thematical background is kind of obscure ;)

    so.. i'd suggest

    mh.. don't know ;)

  • The Angelic Process - great drone/doom/ambient
Toner Low - newer lesser known doom
Church of Misery - Japanese doom/sludge
The Alps - psychedelic stoner, post-rockish but great
    Bongripper - great doom/sludge

  • Jex Thoth [psychedelic and doom]

  • Sloth - The Voice of God

  • Lycus - Funeral doom/sludge

  • Valhall-Red Planet
    Fenriz Red Planet.

All are really good traditional doom rock. groovy and got a psychedelic touch.

    Thorr's Hammer-Dommedagsnatt

Really awesome crushing sludgy doom metal with amazing guttural growls and allround heavy sound. seriously this album weighs a ton.

anything from Old Man Gloom is awesome too. its pretty rad psychedelic sludge. smoking a joint is mandatory for all these recommendations. anyway i suggest everyone check these albums out because i know all you will like them. peace.
