I've been looking for a FF8 group and wasn't able to find any so I figured I'd make one myself.

Fans of Final Fantasy VIII (Soundtrack, Characters, Story) join :)

I believe this was the only FF game that as soon as I had it beaten, I'd restart it again (and I mean the second after the "THE END" credits). I've played it for over 80 times - I'm not even kidding!

Even for me it's most nostalgic game (since it's kind of the first RPG I played, and made me fall in love to this genre).. However, I still loved more FF VI complexity.. I hope it will be remade into a 3D game.

I never realized how amazing this game was until I actually played and beat it. Now it's one of my all-time favorite games in the series ;__;♥

@DakenHowlett: I agree wholeheartedly about Dirge of Cerberus being a huge pile of three-headed doggie doo, but why are you talking about VII in a group dedicated to VIII?

FFVII drige of cerberus was horrible..if they have to do a remake of FFVII in this moment..i don't want to see it..in this moment square is a big commercial thing..realy less quality in their game..FFVII is the best FF Ever

Squeenix is nowhere near what they were in the 90s, and any remake they'd try would end up clichéd and frustrating. Until they hire some decent talent, they'd better just stay the hell away from VIII.

My first FF and my favourite without doubt :) I'd love to play a remake, I'm a sucker for amazing graphics, and about the voice acting... I think US has the worst voice actors in history XD I'm almost sure it would be terrible, but I guess we're all used to it; what I would hate to see changed is the battle system, Square is going for action RPGs lately, and they're simply not the same D:

I think that kind of discussion is similar to the book versus film discussions.Yes, upgrading the graphics and adding VA might remove the imagination aspect of the game but it might (if done good enough) enrich other aspects of the experience.I love final fantasy VIII as it was,but I'd be pleased to see it in a fresh new coat (if that was ever possible).
