I think Blind Guardian is a good example of Christian Prog too.

Lyrically their references to God could unfortunately be a reference to any god from most of the general and popular religions. They haven't taken a stand. It's real safe and luke-warm stuff. They do fit the bill as a band of mostly Christians. There's nothing wrong with that either. I mean plumbers don't have t go around telling everyone they are "Christian plumbers." Music is a tough enough business to break into as it is without ticking off any future potential fans by putting a label on yourself before you're even heard... and SG definitely deserved to be heard. But here's the big question then. Would you classify King's X as a Christian band? I mean they've been dealing with that label since day one and never really asked for it, and you know how that turned out.

Well, I wouldn't call them a christian band, but alot (if not all) members are christian. If you take a good look at the lyrics you can see some christian influences. They thank God on every album and they see the Bible as an inspiration for some of their lyrics so... Well, if I'm wrong, please tell me.

I can verify that Shadow Gallery is not a Christian band. However, they're not a non-Christian band too. Anyone know what happened to Precious Death or Deliverance? Those guy put out someawesome albums! Anyways, please allow me to self promote. LOL! If you will, grab a listen to: Much thanks!

Just posting to say that Threshold aren't Christian. Pity really, they're my favourite band.

Love Morse - wish there were more artists with his vision and skill. On the folk/jazz side of progressive rock, Iona are a very interesting band to listen to. Can anyone recommend some good Christian progressive metal that has singing, not screaming?
