    Suggestions for artist connections

Thank you all for joining the group, but now we need suggestions for artist connections. Please feel free to suggest any type of music, it doesn't have to be guitar based. They also don't have to be from America as long as they share a common thread of a non tutored/instructed playing style.

Sir Richard Bishop. He'd fit perfectly in here.

He should already be on there, is he not showing up for you?

I could have sworn he wasn't when I took a look at the connections the other day.
Nonetheless, here are some artists I'd also add:

    - Steffen Basho-Junghans
    - Six Organs of Admittance
    - Gary Higgins
    - Voice of the Seven Woods
    - James Blackshaw
    - Brethren of the Free Spirit

Also, what about some classic blues musicians such as Robert Johnson or Skip James? I think they'd enrich this group since their generation heavily influenced many following artists.

    Artist suggestion

Pete Ekstam (for some reason all he has posted is an old ep I'll try to contact him to get some more material up cuz he's very good, and would be an excellent addition to this format)
    Hoyt Emerson

Ok I added Pete Ekstam, I like his playing style. Very powerful and percussive, reminds me of Keller Williams. Hoyt Emerson isn't on last.fm yet so I couldn't add him. Thanks for the suggestions!

    Peter Finger

Amazing player...maybe too polished and technical to fit the genre though..trying to be careful about that...I truly appreciate the attempted exclusivity involved here, so as to not wind up off target, lost in musical mediocrity...keep up the good work

    Hi Shallo,
Just wondering if White Plum would be a useful connection and contribution to the group? It is Plum Flower Embroidery meets Sunday Night IC

I think Elizabeth Cotten could fit here. What do you think?

Sorry, but Elizabeth Cotten was a blues/folk guitarist and singer. If I was to label her anything else, it would be almost be sacrilege. People have wanted me to add blues guitarists that influenced Fahey and others however I chose not to as it would not be proper to label them "American Primitive." While many of these guitarists are self-taught and played their own unique style, they are defining members of the blues movement.
