  • Well, here's some hip-hop by me. I won't post the YouTube videos 'cuz the page might become way too heavy for some users:

    Snowgoons - The Hatred (

    7L & Esoteric - Murder Death Kill (

    Slaine - YOU (

Swollen Members - Bring me Down (

Swollen Members - So Deadly (

Ill Bill - War is my Destiny (

    And not so hip-hop:

Two Steps From Hell - Protectors of the Earth (

Globus - Take Me Away (

Clint Mansell - Lux Aeterna (Full Orchestra Remix) (

“Get beyond love and grief: exist for the good of Man.”
Miyamoto Musashi, The Book of Five Rings

I run too and noticed that any Girl Talk album works great. Always energetic. His albums are basically mixtapes that are mashups from songs of different genres. I suggest the Night Ripper album to start out with.

"recommend me..." threads are frowned upon normally (since one already exists), but i think this thread can stick around. just post your fav music to work out to.

Disturbed in general, but Indestructible would probably be the best, especially the song of the same name as well.

I'd guess power metal in general would work well, though that depends on what kind of workout we're talking about. I can imagine myself kicking the living shit out of a punching bag whilst having something like Anaal Nathrakh as a background though.

This one. In fact the whole album is my preferred listening when I exercise.
But especially this track exudes positivity.

I believe there's a similar thread somewhere, maybe you could find something interesting there as well :)

Sorry about that, I tried searching for a workout music thread before I made this one but couldn't find any.

no worries :) the search function for the forums isnt the best either.

i would contribute to the thread, but i dont really work out in an intentional exercise regiment. if i am out in the yard doing work or something though, the home stereo is essentially pumping out anything you would find in my library here. mmmmusics.

  • I don't know what it is about this song, but I love listening to this when I run. I loved watching Gran Turismo 2' s intro before playing as a kid too :D

I get to play what I want when I go to the gym (it's a private gym and the owner is a friend), since nothing really pumps me up or makes me workout "harder," I tend to just try and troll everyone around by playing stuff I know they won't like. Fun fun.

  • Here's a few of my favs:

Infusion always gets me moving - there's no way for me to listen to them and not get going, they're like human snake charmers ;p
    Infusion 'Natural'

AVAN LAVA upbeat and good tempos
    AVAN LAVA 'It's Never Over'

A Tribe Called Red is pretty much all I listen to if I'm running.
Inez Jasper MAKE YOU MINE (A Tribe Called Red REMIX)

For something needing more force, like resistance training, nothing beats Meshuggah
    MESHUGGAH 'Bleed'
