The Icelandic trio Pondus consisting drums, bass and guitars, play an absolute chanting minimalistic pop mixture with elements of dub and jazz.
Having played with such diverse artists as Kylie Minogue, Sigur Ros, Morten Harket and written songs to Marc Almond this is the debut release to Petur Hallgrimsson and his new trio. The music is instrumental, suggestive and without comparison. Call it film noir or “tubular bells” blended with some smooth dub bass and dreamy guitars. We call these tunes sublime exile recordings ! - The album is recorded in Reykjavik by Björk collaborator Valgeir Sigurdsson.

I honestly think that his album Draumlandid is one of the best albums I have EVER heard. It's not even up on last.fm yet, but I urge everyone to buy the CD. It's a completely new direction from the first album - I came to the artist with no knowledge and no expectations at all. Then was blown away by a work of genius. Now a fan for life....
Tiago Sousa & João Correia's Insónia review on Boomkat;
