  • remember that the first time "post rock" term was created and mentioned was in a article about "Hex" (1994), debut album from Bark Psychosis, surely influented by Talk Talk later stuff.
  • AbilityPoints: No. They're the guys who started the genre along with Slint. It's when people combined the techniques of the two that post-rock had its true birth.
  • Nothing to do with post rock. Spirit of Eden & Laughing Stock has more to do with In A Silent Way, Stormcock, ECM Jazz & Folk Rock. (the older synth pop was second rate compared to their contemporaries).
  • Evilninja1337: though a few of the tracks haven't aged well, I'd check out It's My Life. Tracks like Such a Shame, Tomorrow Started, and Does Caroline Know hold up with the experimental later stuff.
  • anticipating everything, little know ;)
  • That ain't me babe hyip! (Tell me he's not saying "hyip" in that part.)
  • I personally only really enjoy The Colour of Spring, Spirit of Eden, and Laughing Stock. I almost can't stand the older stuff, but fascinating progression, this band.
  • Laughing Stock is simply beautiful.
