  • Lariat, Share the Red, Cold Son, Animal Midnight and Out of Reaches are all such great songs. This band deserves way more attention.
  • Best of 2014
  • This ones for youuuu, grandaaaaaadddd.
  • All that said, I do love the recent album and saw the Jicks on tour earlier this year. One thing of note: They *chose* to play Pavement songs which really surprised me. I'd seen them a couple times and they wholly refused the idea in the past. So they encore like bands do and Steve cuts Range life off @ about the minute mark claiming he had "forgot the lyrics". Now, I couldn't care less if Jicks play Pavement songs but for fucks sake, if you're going to consciously decide to play them (on the setlist), play them proper. Otherwise, just don't play them at all.
  • If you trimmed Wowee down to 12 tracks <-never!, it'd be untouchable.
  • Consider "marbles lost", who doesn't like Blue Hawaiian and Billie?... Two States is hardly a song and Scott is responsible for hitting the plane down and western homes. No Survivors!
  • I must be losing my marbles, but I've been listening to the new LP for months now, and I genuinely like better than most Pavement songs. It's so consistent too; the second half is free of stinkers unlike Pavement records (e.g., "Billie", "Blue Hawaiian", "Two States", "Hit the Plane Down", or "Western Homes").
  • Marc Maron did a pretty rad interview today on WTF with Malky
  • Lite up the j-bag, I can't get enough if this record, malk is a constant peak
