  • Musically, 2007 comes to an end

    31. Dez. 2007, 15:38 von msiostra

For first, I have to thank 2007 for starting writing journals here. It's kind of stupid, but I can share some thoughts about what I think of music and how I do not like my musical taste.

Musically, it wasn't bad year, especially when I think of what I've done by myself. I improved my skills in playing guitar, so I don't have to be ashamed of me singing and playing some stupid songs. And 2008 seems to be starting with the very clear perspective of having new instrument, so I can say that changes have come.

Although, this year was so long for me, and I had so much music fascinations it's hard for me to sum it up, but I'll do my best. I selected some categories, that'll help me to characterize thins I want to expose in this year.

    Pink Lasts 2007

Pink Last in category Open Mouth goes to:
    Linkin' Park
It was the most shock for me to discover I can listen that kind of music and I like it. I also want to reward Will You by P.O.D., cause it seems to be the best song to listen, when I'm angry, stressed or something like that.

    "Will you?
    Will you love me?

I don't know if it's about my mood last few days, or I'm just too angry and baaa(*n)d, but my music taste turned completely. I've felt two days ago, that I need to listen somethin' heavier than all those ballads I listen all my life (last time it was mostly Matt Nathanson in whose music I totally fell for). I ran through my disc and I found only Linkin Park's Meteora, so I started with those songs I knewed best - Easier To Run, Somewhere I Belong, Numb and Faint. Then came time for Hybrid Theory with several songs I adjusted to my mood (In The End, One Step Closer, Forgotten).

    "So will you?
    Will you stay with me?

'I'm totaly in mood to listen heavier rock. But I need something that don't have simple guitars on three chords and vocalist doesn't scream all the time, like he'd drank to much.'
    'Hm... Listen to P.O.D.'
    'Ok, which longplay?'
'Payable on death, and focus on song 'Will You' - you'll totaly like it.'
  • Thanks Rocktzar!

    My iPod on shuffle

    1. What's my mood like right now?
Comment: Wau, very accurate, since I'm all out of cigs and need one. But as far as the lyrics - no.

    2. How's tomorrow going to be for me?
    Drink and Fight
Comment: Haha! Tomorrow's friday, so who knows? It could be ;D haha. Well, not really the fighting. But sure drinking xD

    3. What kind of person am I?
Comment: According to this Im the sort of person who takes no time to sign the dotted line, just takes the money and run. Hmm. I'd say I cant relate.

    4. Am I loved?
    When You Are Gone
Comment: I'd say! "When you go you don't know how it is for me. When you are gone you don't know how I try to see. You're sending your love into direction of my heart. When you are gone you don't know how I've come apart."

    5. How can I achieve my highest potential?
Comment: Wow, literally: I should become a doctor? o: or according to people on songmeaning. …
  • 1st entry/ Payable On Death Review

    30. Jul. 2007, 18:26 von VexLenin

This is my first entry on my journal and I'll basically be using it to talk about none other than MUSIC!!! album reviews, what I think of certain artists, news about bands, concerts, basically anything involving music.

Don't get your hopes up though I'm only gonna do this when I'm bored or whatever. So for my first entry I'm going to write a review for my favorite album ever Payable on Death

Many people say it's too hard to choose a favorite, heck, I can't even choose a favorite band out of the 20 that I love. I don't know why this album is my favorite. It just is. It never gets old something that happens to most albums way too much these days.

What makes this album great is not just the music but just everything about this record. The symbolic album art work the lyrics booklet, the pictures, even the extras like the 3 videos on the CD itself and then the Playstaion DVD with 3 other videos and a demo of a really addicting videogame.

    1. What are you listening to right now?
The Patient (This very moment; Playlist on random.)

    2. What song makes you sad?
    Mad World

    3. What is the most annoying song in the world?
Probably one of those hip-hop or rnb, repetitive tracks about shit all. My Humps

    4. Your all time favorite band?
I guess it'd have to be System of a Down. Although, I prefer their older music over their newer stuff.

    5. Your newly discovered band is?
Previously, The Clash. Liking them. Now, Alice in Chains. Pretty good band. Moving on to Soundgarden and Pearl Jam next :-)

    6. Best female voice?
Hmm, maybe Tina Root of Switchblade Symphony? I honestly have no idea.

    7. Best male voice?
Just 'cause I don't follow vocalists all that much, I'll go for the easy way out.... Serj Tankian of System of a Down

    8. Music type you find yourself listening to most?
Hmm, (alternative) Rock, (alternative) Metal, grunge, bit of punk and indie rock I guess.

  • Will you love me tomorrow?

I already have a journal, but not that is music related, and a great and most dear friend of mine was on here...and I couldn't comment without joining up, so I did. I want my free pony though!

Anyway, on the music front, I've been into weird things at the moment, it being the summer an all. You could say that any "genre's" i was sticking to, have gone out the window. But I do like pretty much all types of music :).

On my playlist currently, at this hour, is Will You along with some other stuff I'm about to add, like Explosions in the sky, which hopefully I'm goign to go see in Oxford with my friend :).

Anyway, I'm tired, (better and bigger update tomorrow, I promise) and night to anyone/everyone reading this.
