Norwegian site VG Nett gives “Brother” 5/6 on the dice in a review posted this morning, saying “An immensely good singer is required to breathe life into such heavy matter” and “A triumph for him, this.”
way too late with this but I finally got around to writing a not-lengthy review of Out of My Hands. if anyone's interested it can be found here: http://fantastic7voyage.blogspot.cz/2012/08/morten-harket-out-of-my-hands-short.html cheers! x
Very good album ... Not entirely sure if I am convinced by the electronic direction of his solo work when compared to the more acoustic sound of his previous solo work. I just would like a more daring depart from the traditional a-ha sound ... not that it's a bad thing at all.
I just have no woooorrrds... Went to his concert 4 days ago and still under the impression of it!!! It was the most amazing show in my life! Morten is a talent from God. His voice is so strong and beautiful when he sings live... Just... WOW ;)) And of course he's the man of a dream :) Just look at him... He's 52 and he still handsome and beautiful man.
And I must say, new album is a great thing!!! All of the songs are really really good!
I have just returned from a concert in Novosibirsk, Morten Harket. This divinely handsome man and a brilliant singer. The concert was like an instant. I did not notice that my second meeting with him was over. Almost a full amphitheater people who know a lot about the beautiful melodies northern flying like the wind on the wings of his voice. Song after song, with the gesture, a gesture. His body, his eyes and his voice - one, what shall we do worthwhile art. I want to artists like Morten Harket live forever, so that no one has forgotten how strong may be the beauty of this man's voice.
no reactions on his new album?? I'm just listening to the new album for the third time. and speaking of listening, that particular song keeps me reminding of something, and now I know; a pet shop boys song; I get along get along, without you very well
