It was in the Beginning of 2009 when the Band from Hartford, Connecticut, released the EP "Bodies of Water" for free. It was the first release after their debut EP "We're all just Living" in 2007.

Soon they grabbed the attention of Panic Records, who then released it again.
Simplified the Band plays kind of Post-Hardcore / Folkpunk with extremely catchy melodies and a haunting, entreating voice of Singer James Caroll, that sometimes reminds of Hot Water Music's Chuck Ragan organ.

In 2010 they released a 7" Split with their label mates of "Touché Amoré". On October 26th 2010 their release the Album "End Measured Mile".

In the the beginning of 2011 a tour through Europe was planned, but had to be cancelled.
The reason for this was that the main band "The Sleeping" had been given a more lucrative offer for a U.S. tour. The cancellation from "The Sleeping" came on such short notice that no replacement could be found. Therefore, Make do and Mend were forced to cancel the tour. Nevertheless, they plan to visit europe spring/summer 2011. So….watch out!!
