I remember this song taking me aback around the first time I heard it, because I knew Jane's for "Been Caught Stealing" and "Jane Says", and to somewhat of a degree, "Stop!", but this one was fresh to me.
"...that's probably because, man never can be; not like a girl..." -- our generation is owing a lot to Perry Ferrel, and co. .... I know, I learned a lot from him. (i.e. "i'm a white dread, i'm a white dread! so?!..."), and all he's done for peace, love, and understanding. People who dig janes tend not to be racist, assholes, or... well, you get the idea...
no better music to listen to in summer than their two classic albums.
Perry Farrell is my favourite rock vocalist of all time, at his best, he could have sung fascist propaganda and make it sound free-wheeling and joyous.
and Navarro...his guitar sounds, fuck me...his solos and big riffs are awesome, but when he mellowed out, like on this tune...glowing.
