Printed on the tickets themselves were the words "No Camera/Video/Recording." First thing you see upon entry is a huge sign that says the same thing. There were smaller signs hung at entry to bathrooms that had this whole paragraph about how the Eagles thank you for not only doing that, but oh by the way, don't dance tonight--it said not to obstruct the view of anybody behind you. Later when my husband told me they were charging $40 for the concert DVD, I figured it out. Let's bleed our faithful fans for every dollar we can. I will admit to buying a $40 t-shirt with the guys pics on front and list of venues on back. (I'm bitter because I could have gotten some beautiful pictures, and so big deal, the backgrounds would be revealed on the songs. …

Well, they're not ready for Vegas retirement just yet. During a three-hour show with a set list that showed musical and marketing prowess, the still good-looking (per my spouse) 60ish "boys" showed they could still rock out.
After beginning with four songs from the "WalMart CD" (aka Long Road Out of Eden), the first crowd pleaser came in the form of Hotel California. The first set then rambled through a collection of other hits, concluding with a horn-infused The Long Run. The second set began with the (sort of) unplugged set up, but then the fun began as the songs shifted to the Joe Walsh oeuvre, including Walk Away, Funk 49, and Life's Been Good (in his intro Joe apologized to all the "children in the audience whose parents played this song over and over".) Also making an appearance at this time were Dirty Laundry and All She Wants To Do Is Dance -- quite a rousing conclusion. As if that weren't enough, Rocky Mountain Way was one of the encores.

Founding member Don Henley said during a private weekend concert that the band was nearing completion on an album of all-new material, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reported on Tuesday.
"It's coming out in 60 to 90 days, if we don't kill each other first," Henley, 59, told the crowd Saturday at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.
Eagles and Henley spokesman Larry Solters said Wednesday there was no comment.
"The Long Run" in 1979 was the Eagles last album featuring all-new studio material. That album included the Grammy-winning single "Heartache Tonight."
The group officially disbanded in 1982, then they reunited in 1994 for a comeback tour featuring Henley, Glenn Frey,
Joe Walsh, Timothy Schmit and
