On Wednesday night, Detroit soul singer Dwele played in Paris to promote his latest album, Greater Than One.
The opening part started at 21.05 with a singer called Stefan Filey. I had never heard of him before, but he was very successful. Nobody knew he was French until he introduced himself to us (the 1st songs he sang were in English). He said that he was an independent singer, and that he has already released an album. He also added that he was working on a big project, and with that being said, he sang a couple of songs in English (and a song in French). His part lasted 25 minutes, but everyone in the audience loved it.
At 22.00, Dwele’s band, which was made of a guitarist, a drummer, a bassist, a keyboard player and a background singer, made their way onto the stage. Dwele entered seconds later, wearing a black suit, with a white shirt and a black tie. He was very smart.
