  • V That's what I was remember, especially being that the Swan Road is all from Taras Shevchenko's poetry. Drudkh has no interests in placing political views anymore, plus they had Hate Forest for that and I think it was one of the reason they broke up that project to begin with.
  • Indeed, Drudkh have explicitly disavowed any political interpretations to their music/lyrics: "...there is nothing in Drudkh's music or lyrics that would suggest any political outlook". The full statement can be found in the band's biography here. Most of the band's lyrics weren't even originally written by them anyway, but were adapted or taken verbatim from other poets.

  • vv It doesn't follow that they have to completely reject everything Poland-related or even hate Poles or the Polish country.
  • v Well, the whole Ukrainian nationalism is based on hatred against Russia, yet the album cover for "Blood in Our Wells" is a painting of Vasily Perov who happens to be.... guess who! Russian :D
  • Drudkh are hypocrites. They have anti-Polish lyrics on "Заграва 1768-го" and on "Кров У Наших Криницях", they glorify murders of Polish civilians, but on "Slavonic Chronicles", they covered legendary Polish underground band Sacrilegium.
  • вот именно, их музыку можно слушать всегда, вне зависимости от сезона)
  • Drudkh is one of those bands for me that i know for years but never actually listened to. But tonight i did, and i regret that i haven't done that before. I regret that immensely.
  • every season is drudkh season[2]
  • If Drudkh is autumn, then Hate Forest is winter.
