Nachdem sich Kyuss 1996 aufgelöst hatten, gründete Josh Homme 1997 in Palm Desert das „Desert Sessions“ Projekt. Hierbei werden immer einige Musiker verschiedener Bands, vornehmlich aus der Palm Desert Scene, eingeladen um ein paar Tage zusammen Musik zu machen. Da es keine festen Strukturen gibt und viel improvisiert wird, organisatorisch wie musikalisch, kann man die Desert Sessions auch als ein Jam-Projekt…

  • All of them are great in their own right, but the first album is definitely the best. Nothing else really ever comes close to songs like Screamin' Eagle or Cake (Who Shit on the?). The only not awesome song on it imo would be Robotic Lunch.

  • Who is stealing from whom? Is collaboration stealing? Is being inspired by another artist stealing? If I produce an album for a band and it sounds a bit like my music, is the band stealing from me? If I write a song for one band and then use it in a different band, am I stealing from myself?
